Raul Ruiz’s masterpiece won three awards at the Portuguese Golden Globes’ 16th edition, including the Best Film prize. Maria João Bastos conquered the Best Actress’ Award and Adriano Luz won the Best Actor category.

MYSTERIES OF LISBON, nominated for all categories, was the chosen feature over films from established filmmakers as João Botelho, António Pedro Vasconcelos and Marco Martins.

This triple victory comes as an extraordinary national recognition, adding to the tremendous international reception of MYSTERIES OF LISBON. In 2010, this adaptation of Camilo Castelo Branco’s book won San Sebastián Film Festival’s Silver Shell for Best Director, the prestigious Louis Delluc Prize, in France, and the São Paulo International Film Festival’s Critics’ Award, in Brazil.
